Using the OnStation & TransTech Systems Integration
This a guide that will walk you through a breakdown of using the integration.
The integration between OnStation and TransTech Connect revolutionizes how compaction data is collected, analyzed, and utilized in road construction projects. By seamlessly connecting field measurements with digital stationing, teams can enhance accuracy, reduce manual entry, and make informed decisions in real-time.
Device Workflows
PQI 380 (Standard Model)
The PQI 380 allows users to:
- Collect Measurements: Use the gauge to take density readings.
- Export Data: Save measurements as a CSV file to the gauge's USB.
- Upload to TransTech Connect: Transfer the CSV file to the TransTech Connect platform.
- Analyze and Sync: Review data within TransTech Connect and manually sync selected measurements to OnStation.
PQI 380+ (Enhanced Model)
The PQI 380+ streamlines the process of:
- Collect Measurements: Take readings with the gauge.
- Scan QR Code: After each measurement, a QR code appears on the gauge display.
- Instant Upload: Scan the QR code using the TransTech Connect mobile app, which automatically uploads the data to the platform.
- Automatic Sync: Data is instantly available in OnStation, eliminating manual entry.
Benefits of Integration
- Real-Time Data Access: Measurements are immediately available in OnStation, allowing for prompt decision-making.
- Enhanced Accuracy: Reduces errors associated with manual data entry.
- Improved Collaboration: Field and office teams access the same up-to-date information, fostering better communication.
- Efficient Reporting: Streamlines the generation of reports for quality control and compliance.
Syncing Data to OnStation
Once the integration is set up:
- Access TransTech Connect: Log into your account.
- Select Project: Choose the relevant project from your dashboard.
- Navigate to Measurements: Go to the 'Measurements' section.
- Send to OnStation: Click on 'Actions' and select 'Send to OnStation'.
- Confirm Sync: Ensure the correct project is selected and confirm the data transfer.
For PQI 380 users, this process is manual. For PQI 380+ users, data syncs automatically upon scanning the QR code.
Viewing Data in OnStation
Note: Customers need a minimum of 1 data license to view/export the density data in OnStation.
After syncing:
- Access the Portal: Log into the OnStation Portal.
- Navigate to Projects: Select the project associated with the measurements. Click ‘view’ and then ‘density tests.’
- View Flags: Density readings appear as 'flags' on the project map, complete with station and offset details.
- Analyze and Sort Data: Use OnStation's tools to review measurements, generate reports, and make informed decisions.
