Setup & Configuration of Trimble GNSS Receiver
This article guides you through the process of setting up and connecting a compatible Trimble GNSS receiver for use with the OnStation app.
Prerequisites:
To successfully use a Trimble GNSS device with OnStation, you'll need:
- An active OnStation license
- A compatible Trimble receiver
- The Trimble Mobile Manager (TMM) app installed on the same device as the OnStation app
- An active Trimble account
- Trimble Integration enabled in your OnStation organization settings
Step 1 : Trimble Setup and Configuration
- What Trimble device are you using?
- Is the device’s Bluetooth turned on?
- Have you installed the TMM app on the same device as OnStation?
- Have you created and signed into your TMM account?
Before using your Trimble GNSS device with OnStation, confirm the following:
- Your Trimble device is compatible with the Trimble Mobile Manager (TMM) app. You can view compatible devices on Trimble’s GNSS portfolio page.
- The TMM app is installed on the same device where the OnStation app is installed.
- You have created and signed in to a Trimble account via the TMM app.
Step 2 : Enable Trimble Integration in OnStation
Once the integration is purchased, it will be enabled for all users within your organization. If you don’t see it available under the gear icon (Take a look below at Step 3), please contact support for assistance.
Step 3 : Pairing the Trimble Device with OnStation
This step cannot be done until the prior steps are completed.

On your mobile device, log into both: the Trimble Mobile Manager app and the OnStation App

Power on your Trimble GNSS receiver.
- In the TMM app, pair the Trimble device via Bluetooth.

- Open your OnStation project in the OnStation app.
- Tap the gear icon in the upper-right corner.
- Scroll to the GNSS Receivers section and tap Connect Trimble Device.
- The OnStation app will launch TMM and attempt to connect.
- If successful, an alert will appear confirming the connection.

Troubleshooting & Support
If the device fails to connect:
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled and the receiver is powered on.
- Confirm you're signed into both apps.
- Double-check that Trimble Integration is enabled in OnStation settings.
