OnStation Portal: Dashboard Overview

The Dashboard serves as a central starting point to review activity and jump to the appropriate area when action is needed.

The Dashboard is a new tab in the portal that provides a high‑level view of your organization’s activity, usage, and any actions that may require attention. It is designed to give administrators a quick snapshot of system health and an easy way to navigate to common management tasks.

Who Can Access the Dashboard

Access to the Dashboard is controlled by the same permission used for System Activity.
  • Users with the Admin or User Manager permission can view the Dashboard.
  • Users must have a  Data License to view the Portal Dashboard .

What You’ll See on the Dashboard

Organization Overview

Quick Actions

The Dashboard includes Quick Action buttons (for example: Add Users, Manage Licenses, Manage Groups, Settings) to help you move faster.
 
How Quick Actions work:
  • Selecting a Quick Action takes you to the relevant page in the portal (such as the Team or Licenses tab).
  • The Quick Action automatically opens the specific workflow.
    • Example: Selecting Add Users navigates you to the Team page, and opens the Add User function.
 
On the Dashboard, you’ll find summary metrics that reflect your organization’s current state, such as:
  • Team Members – Total users in your organization
  • Projects – Total number of projects
  • Groups – Total number of groups
  • License Usage – Allocated vs. available licenses

Clicking on any of these summaries with take you to the relevant page in your organization's portal.

Status & Alerts

The Dashboard highlights items that may need attention, including:
  • Pending Requests – User or access requests awaiting action
  • License Alerts – Warnings related to license availability or usage
  • Inactive Licensed Users – Licensed users who are not currently active
If there are no issues in a category, the Dashboard will clearly indicate that everything is in good standing.

 

When Should I Use the Dashboard?

The Dashboard is best used to:
  • Get a quick snapshot of organizational activity
  • Identify items that need attention
  • Navigate quickly to the correct management area
