How To Use Our Measuring Tool
Who needs actual measuring tape anymore? With our app's handy measuring tool, you can draw your station points right on the map! 📐
- Open the OnStation app, and click on the project you would like to work in.
 Note: The app will open to the last project you were working in. 
- Make sure the map icon is blue in the bottom toolbar on your screen.  If it is not, tap on it to select it. If it is not, tap on it to select it.
- To access the Measuring Tool, click on the ruler button on the right-hand side of the map in the app.   
- Now it's time to start drawing. You have four different ways to draw your points.
 Point to Point Lines: You can draw a straight line with the top tool.  With that tool, you can use the crosshairs

 Freehand Lines: You can draw your distances freehand by selecting the second tool and using your finger.

 Shapes: Using the polygon shape tool, you can set your points by clicking around the map.

 Freehand Shapes: You can also draw the polygon shape freehand, using the bottom tool.

5. Share your measurements with the copy/paste iconNote: The readouts are available in feet, yards, miles, or acres at the top of the map.
