You have the ability to save photos inside of OnStation as well as send photos outside of OnStation. With either option OnStation will provide location-stamped photos in a snap. 📸 See steps below for saving pics to your local device.
- Open the OnStation app, and select the project you want to work in.
Note: The app will open to the last project you were working in.
- Make sure the crosshairs icon is at the location where you want to drop a flag . You can confirm this by looking at the Station Finder and making sure its showing the STATION OR Mile Marker OR Lat Long OR LRS depending on your display. This is important so the OnStation can add the location data to the photo you're about to take. Samples below.
- Tap the Camera icon.
- Take A Picture.
- If you are happy with that picture tap "Use Photo" at the bottom right hand corner of the screen or you can tap "Retake" the photo on the bottom left.
- You will see that the image comes up with the Date/Time and GEO Location of the picture at the top along with a cardinal direction. At the bottom the OnStation Logo will appear.
- If you do not want the cardinal direction to appear you can tap "Options" and slide the toggle next to "Show Direction Watermark" off. Click the green downward icon next to "Photo Options" to save your change and you'll see the picture header update.
